Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Montana lands with conservation easements. This layer shows private lands parcels on which a public agency or qualified Land Trust has placed a Conservation Easement in cooperation with the land owner. According to State Law (Montana Code Annotated 76-6-207) easements must be recorded in the county where the land lies. The county clerk and recorder shall provide a copy of the conservation easement to the Department of Revenue office in that county within 30 days. The Montana Department of Revenue updates this dataset typically once a month. Map features in this data set are not intended as a legal depiction of public or private surface land ownership boundaries and should not be used in place of a survey conducted by a licensed land surveyor. The data are derived from the Montana Cadastral parcel layer.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
